The ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S), developed by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), defines technology standards for students. Covering such diverse areas as basic operations and concepts, social, ethical and human issues, technology research tools and more, many topics are presented that will help students with the skills needed to be successful in life. More than 90 percent of US state departments of education have adopted, adapted, or referenced the ISTE NETS because they are sensible, usable, and measurable -- and they support states' content standards. This NETS-Student courseware library offers more than 450 lessons (70+ hours of training) with topics ranging from Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), and Internet and Core Computing Certification (IC3) to internet safety for students.
